Who doesn’t love the elegance and finesse of a superbly crafted Rosé! 

Our 1840 Range Rosé – created from handpicked Grenache grapes grown on Sandalford’s founding estate here in the Swan Valley – has certainly found a following since its inception a few short years ago.

Now, we are delighted to announce the 2023 vintage 1840 Rosé is in the bottle and in store for your drinking pleasure!

This is a glorious wine and our head winemaker, Ross Pamment, believes this year’s vintage is the best yet. 

The newly bottled 2023 1840 Rosé begins with a sophisticated salmon hue, continues with swirling, subtle floral and spice aromas and ends with a textural symphony.

Colour:  Pale vibrant salmon pink.

Nose: Pretty floral notes of rose petal and hibiscus flower overlay aromas of pomegranate, musk and subtle spices.

Palate: This wine is dry, textural and flavoursome on the palate, with well-balanced soft acidity leading to a long and sustained finish.

Notes: Grenache grapes from mature vines on our founding estate were handpicked and the resulting juice destemmed and chilled to a tank press. The juice remained in contact with the skins overnight to impart colour and flavor. After fermentation, the wine was allowed to rest on lees briefly to build texture and complexity. A wine best served chilled; you can even add an ice block! Drink as it is – fresh and vibrant.

The elevated Grenache in this varietal pairs wonderfully with a range of dishes – bring it forward with light salads, grilled seafood or even a charcuterie board. 

The versatility and quality of this captivating, premium rosé wine makes it an excellent choice for gatherings or intimate dinners.
