Sandalford Wines SHINE at SWAN VALLEY WINE SHOW 2025

Each year, the skill of our region’s winemakers and the terroir of the Swan Valley come together in a celebration: The Swan Valley Wine Show.

This year, at the 37th annual wine show, we were delighted to host this event at our estate and to have our winemaking team recognised by medals and a trophy from the esteemed judges of this event.

Hundreds of wines are submitted by wineries from the Swan Valley and Greater Perth zone.

Our winemaking team, lead by Ross Pamment, senior winemaker and Ben Maher, vineyard manager, were thrilled to receive the trophy for Best Rosé in Show for our Winemakers 2025 Rosé and be awarded a Gold medal for our 1840 2025 Rosé.

The style of rosé we are producing now is very much on point with what our customers are seeking: a pale pink, French Provincal style: dry, minerally and fruity.

Our trophy winner, Winemakers Rosé, represents exceptional value too at $19.00 RRP.

Here’s how Ross describes this unique Winemakers Rosé:

"Bright red berry fruits, raspberry and
potpourri with underlying spice.

The fruit flavours follow onto the palate,
carried by fresh acidityto a clean, juicy finish.

Our 1840 2025 Chenin Blanc was also recognised for excellence, receiving Gold in the Australian Chenin Blanc Challenge.

The aim of this competition is to bring together the best Australian Chenin Blanc and to celebrate, improve and encourage the quality and diversity of Chenin Blanc wines. It is open to all Australian winemakers and producers.

Our Swan Valley grown, old vine Chenin Blanc received a Gold medal in the challenge. Ross’s tasting notes are:

"This wine’s food friendly characteristics of
crisp, floral and quince exhibit a wonderful length
of flavour with a balanced, clean finish."

Finally, Sandalford’s Sandalera liqueur range received two Gold Medals which really capped the night off for us!

The show’s judges singled out two liqueurs from the luscious Sandalera range, awarding Gold to both the Rare Liqueur Pedro Ximénez and Museum Liqueur Muscat. These are the perfect accompaniment to cosy winter meals and only a limited number of bottles remain in stock, so get them before they go!
