2025 Restaurant & Catering Awards recognise our legacy of Wine & Cuisine
Sandalford is a legacy of wine and cuisine, re-imagined by successive talented individuals who create the world-class service, catering, wine production and hospitality for our valued guests.
This legacy was recognised last night at the 2025 Restaurant & Catering Hostplus Awards for Excellence.
Our Sandalford team was very proud and honoured to be chosen as the recipient of these awards, and with a great deal of humility we went on stage in these categories:
CONTEMPORARY AUSTRALIAN
WEDDING CATERER
and once again
CATERER OF THE YEAR
plus
(Honorable Mention) EVENTS CATERER

We were delighted to host over 400 industry colleagues, sponsors and judges here at Sandalford in our beautiful Estate Room last night for these important industry awards.
For us, this wonderful evening was capped off by retaining the award for Caterer of the Year for the second consecutive year. It is a highly rewarding aspect of hospitality to collaborate, plan and execute a special occasion for a client - whether an intimate wedding or a corporate gala - and this recognition is so gratifying.
Being selected among our peers in this way means a great deal to every one of us.

Our team is an extraordinary one, made up of the most dedicated people (nearly 200 in total) who strive every day to deliver unforgettable experiences to the tens of thousands of guests who spent time with us here in the Swan Valley every year.
Sandalford’s CEO, Grant Brinklow, thanked the more than 30 staff responsible for the gala dinner’s delivery including front and back of house teams and paid tribute to their unwavering focus.
“It is thrilling for us to be recognised for the success in this year’s awards, however it is a reflection of years and years of hard work from so many including the leadership team headed up by executive chef Alan Spagnolo, restaurant manager Pablo Mundaca, event sales manager Donna Owens, functions operations manager Natalie Abate, weddings coordinator Megan Valente and a large number of other highly valued team members.”

As much as we pay tribute to all our people, we equally express our appreciation and gratitude to all those guests who chose to visit and spend time with Sandalford over this past year.
Whether it was in our restaurant,
at a corporate event or choosing
to marry at our lovely estate,
or attending one of the spectacular concerts
here in the past year, our guests
are the essential ingredient to our operation:
what we do, we do for you and it gives us all great pleasure.

We were so happy to host this gala event here in what is a very important year for our business. It is 185 years since the first vines were planted here back in 1840 as part of land grant by Queen Victoria to the original surveyor general of Western Australia, John Septimus Roe.
We have so much to be grateful for, and we are excited for the future here.
We look forward to welcoming you warmly, whether at our cellar door, our restaurant, our upcoming concerts or to an occasion like a family wedding.
