Sandalford Wines’ Silver Service Awarded
Serving up excellence in dining experiences has seen Sandalford Wines receive national recognition by the Australian tourism industry once again. The Swan Valley establishment was awarded Silver in the category of Tourism Restaurants & Catering Distilleries at the 2018 Australian Tourism Awards held in Tasmania on 1 March 2019.
Chief executive officer Grant Brinklow said the accolade was a reflection of the dedication and hard work of the entire Sandalford team.
“We aim to excel whether catering to concert and wedding guests or a couple dining with us a la carte on their special anniversary. To be recognised at this national level of excellence is an incredible achievement and credit goes to all our dedicated staff. From our vineyard workers, viticulturalists, winemakers, and cellar door teams to our chefs, function managers, administration, finance and food + beverage attendants the result reflects the pride and craftsmanship everyone applies to their individual roles.”
Mr Brinklow congratulated all the other WA winners and finalists, saying Western Australian tourism businesses had brought home a record number of medals making this year the state’s most successful awards ever.
“From Albany to the Kimberly, WA’s tourism excellence was celebrated and noted by the national judges. The Swan Valley gives visitors a wine + dining experience which I feel is unique in the world, and we are delighted that our regional partner, Swan Valley Visitor Centre, was recognised with Gold status at these awards.”
Sandalford Wines is Western Australia’s most awarded attraction with no less than 62 major state and national accolades for cuisine, tourism and hospitality.
