New Bespoke Event Space Now Bookable In Swan Valley
A newly constructed venue at Sandalford’s award winning Swan Valley estate promises event space unlike anything previously seen in Perth.
The Estate Room, which features bespoke design by Sibella Court from The Society Inc, Sydney, is a dream come true for event planners and brides according to CEO Grant Brinklow.
“It has taken us 36 months to plan and 6 months to build The Estate Room, and we are very confident that it matches and exceeds the expectations of patrons and guests seeking a unique event venue,” said Mr Brinklow.
While the pillarless function space has a capacity for 460 guests seated, it can easily be sub-divided for more intimate events and the views are superb regardless of the number of guests.
“The area where we present Welcome Drinks has sweeping views of our 178 year old vineyard and the entire venue overlooks our verdant Concert Green which is why we settled on the name The Estate Room. It’s a grand scale space, which reflects all the heritage and grandeur of Sandalford’s Swan Valley Estate,” said Mr Brinklow.
The essence of The Estate Room is in both its detail and its versatility. Grant Brinklow credits this to the design inspiration of Sibella Court, whose affection for and knowledge of history is reflected in the expressions of handmade items and vintage styling of the venue. Her own functional hardware range – which capitalises on the expertise of old tradesmen – serves to accent the venue’s many areas which include a superbly designed, dedicated bridal suite.
“Our estate is rated very highly by brides, and we wanted to cater for their every need in this new suite. It’s quite breathtaking; the level of comfort, style and functionality that we have been able to wrap into this aspect of the project. We’ve also continued our relationship with our corporate clients – Sandalford is known for being able to place large vehicles in our other vineyard venues and we’ve continued this in The Estate Room where car launches are made even easier by a 3.3 metre screen with built in audio-visual capacity and a HD projector,” said Mr Brinklow.
Around 350 invited guests were the first to experience The Estate Room at a showcase event which saw invited tourism and hospitality captains, venue and wedding planners and select event suppliers gathered to inspect and enjoy the ambience of Sandalford Wines’ new multi million dollar investment.
Mr Brinklow said the new function room is the first stage of a major expansion and redevelopment at Sandalford’s Swan Valley estate.
“We see capital expenditure to increase our events capacity as essential to the long term sustainability of our tourism business. Stage 2, which will see expansions to food and beverage operations, retail space and general customer experiences will soon move from the planning to development phase.”
