The Sandalford Bar and Restaurant celebrates a marriage of modern Australian and contemporary Italian cuisine where the fulsome flavour of WA’s phenomenal seasonal produce is enhanced by hand-rolled pasta, wood-fired pizza and artisanal products. Our bustling, open kitchen creates delectable, healthy dishes destined to delight the most discerning diner, while the restaurant’s tranquil, leafy ambience issues an invitation to relax and indulge all the senses.

Our new menus embrace the ripeness and complexity of a crisp and fresh Western Australian Winter season and we have the fireplace roaring and warming the newly furbished Sandalford Bar and Restaurant.  The light has changed, the leaves have fallen and our vineyards have yielded their harvest for vintage 2021 and now progressed to the short hibernation period for the colder months. 

Executive Chef Alan Spagnolo and his award-winning kitchen brigade have created dishes of comfort and richness which emphasize balance, seasonal vegetables and both classic + new techniques.

Standout vegetarian dishes include Gin Gin paprika cotolette with coal roasted chilli tomato aioli; or roasted pumpkin with forest mushrooms, eggplant and herb mascarpone; and wood fired brussel sprouts and creamy tonnato dressing and anchovy salt.

Winter's Dardanup lamb rump, chargrilled medium, roasted eggplant, carrot, feta and date relish is a new Sandalford favourite, and Chef has pickled down the last of the season’s Manjimup figs to serve with the burrata and accompanied by golden wildflower honey and crunchy pistachio nuts. For poultry lovers try the hand cut egg pappardelle pasta with duck, sofrito and herb forest mushroom ragu; or the Mt Barker free range chicken breast wiht pancetta and spiced radicchio jam.

All menus feature an abundance of local Western Australian seafood from delicate shellfish risotto with slipper lobster, local prawns, and scallops to chargrilled octopus with citrus and pink peppercorn dressing.

The Sandalford Bar and Restaurant is open for lunch Monday through Sunday from 11.30am onwards, and also for drinks and dinner on Friday and Saturday evenings until late.
