Winemaking
Only the best super ripe fruit from warm to hot growing regions is
utilised. After crushing and pressing, the raw juice is inoculated with
selected yeast. Once that initial ferment is underway, the wine is
fortified with premium grape spirit. The wine is then transferred to old
French Oak barriques for 5 to 10 years on average. Blending with minimal
filtration then takes place prior to bottling.
Tasting Notes
Tawny brick red in colour. The nose displays very ripe jammy fruit
characters with spicy notes and floral muscaty influences. On the palate
the warm alcohol spirit is beautifully balanced with luscious sweet
fruit flavours. A delicious dessert wine. Once opened, the wine will
keep for a few months providing it is stoppered after each pouring.
Assessment

finish. Recommended *** Winestate Magazine
