Sandalford Wines

Dear Concert patron at the performances by Robin Gibb and Bonnie Tyler tonight,

Robin Gibb, the voice that set alight a million romances and as many dance floors, tonight delivered what can only be described as an unforgettable evening of the Bee Gees' Greatest Hits at the amazing Sandalford Estate, Swan Valley.

Billed as the 'grand finale' of the month long festival and celebrations held annually in the Swan Valley (www.SpringintheValley2010.com.au), it certainly was a fantastic concert event that will long remain in the memories of those who attended.

Accompanied by his full band and members of the West Australian Symphony Orchestra, fans at Sandalford Estate tonight heard heard all the biggest songs - Massachusetts, How Deep is Your Love, Stayin' Alive, Night Fever, You Win Again, Nights on Broadway, Jive Talking, I Started A Joke, Words, To Love Somebody, New York Mining Disaster and many more!

Robin Gibb is of course a member of The Bee Gees, a band which made an indelible mark on five decades of popular music. Their recording career is phenomenal and after selling more than 200 million albums worldwide, the brothers Gibb have long since taken their place amongst the true legends of pop. They are the fifth most successful recording artists of all time, charted over 60 hit singles, won 8 Grammy Awards, earned a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, have been made Commanders of the British Empire and been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Before Robin Gibb took to the stage, Australian Idol star Courtney Murphy got the night started in fantastic fashion with a remarkable set, and he was followed by the legendary Bonnie Tyler for her first ever performance in Perth.

Many remember Bonnie Tyler as the remarkable woman who stormed the international music charts in the late 70s and early 80s with her smash hit songs, 'It's a Heartache', 'Holding out for a hero' and 'Total Eclipse of the heart'. Her trademark vocals have made her one of the most instantly recognisable women in rock and tonight she clearly delivered an awesome live show.

No doubt for you and everybody else who attended, tonight’s performance will long be remembered as another one of the GREAT shows to take place at Sandalford Estate, Swan Valley in the 10 years since the first concert was held. And of course in that time there has been many great acts perform here including most recently Simply Red (www.sandalford.com/Upcoming-Events/simply-red-farewell-the-final-tour.html) and before that Spandau Ballet, Tears for Fears, Lionel Richie, Leonard Cohen, Alicia Keys, John Mellencamp, John Fogerty, Ronan Keating, Tom Jones, Carole King, Missy Higgins, Jimmy Barnes, The 52’s and many, many more.

The Sandalford team really hope you had a fantastic time tonight and are very interested to know just what you and your party who attended thought about the total concert experience (both the good and any not so aspects).

The first two shows of the 2010/2011 Sandalford Concert Series (Simply Red last weekend and then Robin Gibb/Bonnie Tyler this evening) were both incredibly impressive events and if they are anything to be, this season will be one that is the very best yet.
