Sandalford Wines are proud to announce the first concert at Sandalford’s Margaret River Vineyard, a truly unique, world class setting that is certain to become one of Australia’s most exciting outdoor concert venues.

International superstar Ronan Keating will undertake his first concert tour of Australia in eight years when he returns to our shores in 2010, playing to audiences at Sandalford Wines in the Swan Valley on Saturday 16 January, and our new concert site at Sandalford Margaret River the following night, Sunday 17 January.

The new Margaret River estate complements Sandalford’s other well established and extremely popular concert operations in the Swan Valley which since 2002 has played host to iconic international performers including Lionel Richie, John Fogerty, Harry Connick Jnr, Dionne Warwick, Alicia Keys, John Mellencamp, Sheryl Crow, Carol King, Missy Higgins, Pete Murray, Jimmy Barnes and Steely Dan among others to over 200,000 people.

Sandalford CEO, Grant Brinklow said; "The vision for Sandalford was to develop part of our 40 year old vineyard in the world famous Margaret River wine region into the premier winery concert venue in Australia.  We are delighted to partner with Roundhouse Entertainment and Mellen Events in announcing the very first concert in Margaret River which will be part realisation of this vision.  This announcement will coincide with the beginning of celebrations to commemorate two very important milestones the company celebrates in 2010 – 170 years of continuous trading (Sandalford was established in 1840) and 40 years since we commenced producing wine in Margaret River.

We expect this first exciting show will be followed by many, many more world class acts in the years to come.  For all lovers of great music and fantastic Margaret River wines, I am sure these concerts will quickly establish themselves as 'must attend' events for people from right across the south west of Western Australia and beyond.  We are very excited about offering all patrons a truly memorable and unique music experience whilst introducing them to Sandalford Wines - Margaret Rivers Finest!!!  We certainly look forward to welcoming them all to the concert green very soon!!"

The tour’s very special guest will be the wonderful Tina Arena. Following two sold-out seasons of performances here in 2008 and 2009 and with sales of her recent album ‘Songs Of Love and Loss’ close to 200,000 units, Tina is looking forward to touring again.

Popular singer/songwriter Damien Leith, who has just released his new “Remember June” album, will open the concerts.

For lovers of fine wine, food and music, we are offering Wineclub members a special opportunity to purchase Concert & Dining package before they go on sale to the general public. The specific details are as follows;

Concert & Dining Packages are just $395 per person and include:

• Priority entry to the venue through an exclusive entrance;
• A mouth watering selection of canapé and cocktail food on the Merlot Lawn function area prior to the performance of Tina Arena and later Ronan Keating;
• Sandalford's award-winning Margaret River Range wines, sparkling whites, premium beer and soft drink;
• At the conclusion of the pre-show function, a complimentary bottle of Sandalford Wine will be supplied per couple to enjoy during the concert;

General Admission tickets are also available for $99.50 each should you prefer to bring your own picnic lunch

GENERAL INFORMATION

‘a day on the green’ is a fully licensed event. Minors (children under 18 years of age) may only attend the event if they are accompanied by their parent/step-parent or legal guardian.  All patrons (including minors) must have a valid ticket for entry.

Strictly no BYO alcohol and NO GLASS.  Low deck chairs and picnic rugs are recommended. Food will be available at the venue or BYO picnic.
