Sandalford PET Wine Bottles
You may remember Sandalford releasing wine in plastic bottles earlier in the year. What this means to Sandalford is we can now run glass free events at Sandalford. Subject to approval from the WA Department of Liquor Racing and Gaming these same wines will be available exclusively over the bar at the two Fleetwood Mac shows at Members Equity Stadium this December.

Sandalford releases wine in plastic bottles

Sandalford Wines is releasing a selection of its white and red wines in 750ml plastic bottles, in what the company claims is a WA first.
The move has been motivated by both the smaller carbon footprint created by PET bottles as well their practicality at large outdoor concerts.
The bottles will be released later this month with Sandalford's Vintage 2009 range.
The new plastic bottles will be sold at all concert events held at both Sandalford's Caversham Estate in the Swan Valley and the new Margaret River concert venue.
It is expected that the PET bottles, will also be available at other outdoor concerts and sporting venues where Sandalford Wines are currently sold.

Following on from the 3 GOLD medals awarded to it on the Australian show circuit in the last 2 months as well as the 93 point rating given by James Halliday in his 2010 Wine Companion, we were delighted to very recently receive the review below titled:
Sandalford’s super Shiraz.
The wine in question is the 2008 Sandalford Margaret River Range Shiraz and esteemed critic John Jens had this to say about it:
‘It would be difficult to find better value WA Shiraz than this’ ……..‘this is among the six or eight best value and most delicious under $19 Shiraz yet produced in WA!!!’
In addition to this is an article about the approval received by Sandalford to conduct more concerts at Caversham Estate each season (the total number will be ten) as well as a fantastic review about the 2009 Sandalford Margaret River Range Rose written by Ray Jordan as it appears in the West Australian newspaper.
