Hi Wine Club Members,
Well, red wine weather is definitely upon us and what a busy month it is turning into at Sandalford. Our first concert has been announced for Caversham, the winter menu is up and running in our restaurant and Winery Tours are back at Caversham Cellar Door.
I can also confirm that the very first concert will be held in Margaret River on Saturday 5th December. Stay tuned to find out who will be performing!
The B-52s will roam around Australia later this year and the Scottish wonder twins The Proclaimers are also on their way (ahuh) for a fabulous November/December national concert tour.
Both bands will perform at six 'a day on the green' winery events to launch the 2009/10 summer season including at Sandalford Wines on Sunday December 6.
Both The B-52s and The Proclaimers are renowned for their charismatic live stage shows and raucous, uplifting music, so how much fun will this be! Mental As Anything, who are celebrating their 30th anniversary, will kick start all concerts.
General Information:
‘a day on the green’ is a fully licensed event. Minors (children under 18 years of age) may only attend the event if they are accompanied by their parent/step-parent or legal guardian. All patrons (including minors/babies) must have a valid ticket for entry.
Strictly no BYO alcohol and NO GLASS. Food will be available at the venue or BYO picnic. Low deck chairs and picnic rugs are recommended.
Limited parking is available at the venue, entry being from West Swan Road. Please do not park on road verges or local residents’ properties.
Buswest recommend you leave the car at home and take advantage of their bus service. To check for your nearest pick up point contact Buswest 9256 3223 or buswest.com.au. A free shuttle bus service will run between Midland Train Station and the venue before and after the show.

Best Australian Cabernet Sauvignon in the Marketplace
Sandalford CEO Grant Brinklow has just returned from an overseas trip visiting our major exporters in China and Vietnam. Whilst there, the judging for the inaugural Australian Wine Competition in Vietnam took place. We are very proud to announce the 2007 Sandalford Estate Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon was awarded Trophy for BEST Australian Cabernet Sauvignon currently in this marketplace by a panel of eight (8) judges including Chief Judge Andrew Margan from the Hunter Valley.
