It was certainly an incredibly memorable night and definitely a never to be repeated once in a life time experience for the
10,000 people who travelled to Sandalford for the show We are delighted you were on hand to experience the performance,
and take this opportunity to sincerely thankyou for your continuing support and patronage of Sandalford Wines and our
annual concert program.
We are pleased to advised the winner of the six pack of 2005 Prendiville Cabernet Sauvignon as part of the entry
competition in the VIP area was Janine Collier of Carramar. We will be in contact with you soon to arrange collection of your prize.
A few people have mentioned since about the barnyard smell during parts of the evening – we want to clarify here
that Sandalford Wines is currently in the middle of the annual grape harvest and vintage (V10) – the odour was
entirely related to the completely natural grape skin waste product (it wasn’t sewage, manure nor anything else
like that). Given a gentle easterly wind was blowing Sunday night (at this time of the year the prevailing evening
winds are normally westerly in direction), the smell wafted across to parts of the concert green but by the end of
the evening the wind changed direction (to a more normal pattern) taking the odour with it away from concert goers.
We sincerely apologise about this but trust patrons to understand that whilst a bit unpleasant at times, the smell
was not a typical for any wine business (also - this is the first time in a decade of doing outdoor events at this
time of year we had a problem of this nature). That notwithstanding we will certainly do our best to mitigate
this from reoccurring for the upcoming shows during the remainder of this concert season and beyond.
We really hope to see you at Sandalford again soon and look forward to welcoming you back; we have a number fabulous shows to take place in the next few months including, Tom Jones (March 14) and of course the recently announced double header on April 17, 2010 featuring Spandau Ballet and Tears for Fears, Click here to view more details.
Our team will continue to keep you fully informed of further concert announcements during the remainder of this year (and beyond) and we will of course also send you our regular wine club updates too!
In the meantime please click through to http://www.sandalford.com/Past-Events/a-day-on-the-green-motown.html and the bloggers section at the bottom of the page because we really want to hear what you thought about the show, our F&B offerings, the overall Sandalford experience and or any others comments feedback about your experience you want to share with us so that we can work on making it even better next time (if you came with friends and or purchased tickets for them please send this email to them because we also want to receive their feedback too). Looking forward to hearing from you here soon and welcoming you back to Sandalford shortly whether that is for another concert, dinner in the restaurant, a bottle of wine at cellar door, a function, or any other reason.
