Welcome to the February newsletter. The Leonard Cohen concert on the 7th of this month marked the end of the 08/09 concert season and what a season it was. 7 major concerts over 4 months with 5 of those being complete sell outs as well. Highlights would have to be Alicia Keys who absolutely blew the crowd away with her stunning performance. John Mellencamp also hit all the right notes over two successive nights of sold out shows. The Hoodoo Gurus showed that they still have it headlining the annual ‘A day on the Green.’ And the Ten Tenors bought a stylish and polished act to the ‘Symphony at Sandalford.’ We now look ahead to later in the year when we will return with even more shows and potentially our new venue in Margaret River. We look forward to welcoming many of you members to the upcoming events.

Leonard Cohen created magic on the green when he performed at Sandalford recently. Not everyone knew what to expect when Leonard Cohen came to perform and perform he did with an awe inspiring 3 hour set of some of the most beautiful and hypnotic words ever set to music. The crowd of almost 12,000 people literally hung on every word as he sang. A stunning and somewhat fitting end for the Sandalford Concerts this season. Yesterday our dining room was graced with Former Prime Minister Bob Hawke. Dining with colleges and some local politicians the ex PM was delighted in the Food and Wine offering we supplied. Update your details and go into the running to win a case of Estate Reserve Wine
Sandalford Wines this month is contacting its Wine Club members by phone to let them know about some very special deals. If you have not received a call from our cellar door team then perhaps your details are not up to date. We would love to confirm everyone’s information so we are going to offer an incentive. Any members that update there details before the end of February will go into the running to win a dozen bottles of Estate Reserve Wines. To update your details just fill in the form with your current address and phone number on this page and send them in.
 Sandalford is the wine sponsor for this years Johnnie Walker Classic to held at the Vines Golf Club and Resort. Sandalford wines will poured throughout the entire event including the Gala Dinner to held at Government House. Sandalford Wine Club has received a few General Admission tickets valued at $40.00 each. If any of our Western Australian members would like to attend then just send me an e-mail to my address and I will pick a winner and post out the tickets. You can attend any day of the event from Thursday through to Sunday.
