2009 Swan Chamber of Commerce Awards
 Sandalford Wines makes the inaugural inductee into the Hall of Fame
On Saturday 15th August, Sandalford received the abovementioned accolade at a gala function held at the Vines Resort. This is a fantastic achievement for Sandalford Wines and one that we are very proud of.

Sandalford’ Caversham Estate Restaurant has been shortlisted as a finalist in two separate categories for the 2009 Gold Plate Awards:
- Winery in Perth and surrounds (category we won last year); and
- Tourism Restaurant.

Sandalford wins at Cowra Wine show & Gold at Brisbane
The Cowra Wine Show, now in its 27th year is Australia's 3rd largest wine show, every year attracting top class judges from Australia and overseas. Sandalford was awarded Gold Medal & Trophy 2009 MRR Classic Dry White (Best Blended White & Other White) and Gold Medal - 2008 MRR Shiraz.The 2008 MRR shiraz also won Gold at 2009 Brisbane Wine Show.
Masterchef's Food Critic, Matt Preston, visits Sandalford
Australia’s biggest celebrity food critic was in Perth last month sampling a variety of the best food and wine produced in the state for a feature article he is writing on Western Australia. Fresh from the finale of Masterchef, which was watched by a record-breaking 3.7 million Australian viewers, Preston is back in the feature-writing game.
Matt Preston paid Sandalford Caversham Estate a quick visit. He had a good look around the property, tasted our premium wine, chatted with staff and then stopped for a picture and signed a plate to be added to our restaurant wall!
 
The article will feature in the October edition of Delicious, rating the best places to eat, drink and stay in the State.

The Annual Mingenew Expo will be held on the 17th and 18th of September 2009. Sandalford will be participating in this years expo, showcasing our fantastic wines, along with our restaurant, function and concert offerings. For those of you who live in the area or have friends or relatives that do, please let them know that I would love to see them at the Family Interest Marquee for a wine tasting!
James Halliday Rates Sandalford Wines
 Sandalford Wines has once again been placed among the best of the Australian wine industry by esteemed wine critic James Halliday. I am very proud to announce we have received a '5 Star' rating and an impressive 10 wines from the Sandalford portfolio were awarded 90 points or more out of a possible 100. The '5 Star' Award is a highly coveted recognition bestowed only on outstanding wineries which regularly produce wines of excellent quality. Halliday is the authority on the Australian wine industry and his opinions are sought on every aspect of the industry.
July marked the release of Halliday's best-selling annual Australian Wine Companion (2010 edition), this year including tasting notes for 5884 wines, and profiling 1467 Australian wineries The '5 Star' rating places Sandalford Wines in the top bracket of Australian wineries and the range of wines which received scores in the 'nineties' is further testament to Sandalford's commitment to producing world class wines from the Margaret River region.

- 2005 Estate Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon - 94 points
- 2008 MRR Shiraz - 93 points
- 2008 MRR Rose - 93 points

- 2008 ER Sauvignon Blanc Semillon - 91 points
- 2008 Estate Reserve Verdelho - 90 points
