| Peter
and Debra Prendiville have had a long standing passion for the
wine industry as well as a significant interest in the tourism
industry. Peter has controlled by ownership and/or management,
over 40 hotels employing approximately 3000 personnel. Debra has been responsible for the design and outfitting of Sandalford's
unique cellar, restaurant, wine tasting and cruising facilities
that have placed it at the forefront of wine tourism operations
in Australia.
Having acquired
Sandalford
in 1991 from overseas interest, they formulated a plan to
revitalise the 160yr old icon brand. Spending over six million
dollars redeveloping the companies
facilities, their vision of a wine company that not only
produces wines of excellence but also has the perfect synergy of
wine/tourism has now come to fruition.
They continue to bring wine tourism innovations
from around the world back to Sandalford Winery. Their travels also
broaden Sandalford wine distribution to dozens of countries, in particular, countries where wine was
uncommon such as Poland
and Denmark.

Garry
Prendiville and older brother Peter have built a group of diverse
companies in Australia, renowned in areas such as Wine, Petroleum,
Hospitality and Tourism.
Garry, although educated in engineering and
commerce, embarked on his business career in Petrol Stations in 1976
and after a series of acquisitions and joint ventures had
accumulated a national fuel network of 28 major refuelling outlets,
turning over AUD $350 million and employing 650 people.
Since purchase of Sandalford in 1991 by the Prendiville family and
as part of the companies renaissance, Garry has played an active
role in Sandalford's strategic direction and export development.
This export development has been greatly improved under Garry's
guidance, so much so that it now includes 35 countries. |
