DAINTY CONSOLIDATED ENTERTAINMENT, 18th MAY 2010 After the stunning recent success of the Spandau Ballet and Tears for Fears concert at Sandalford’s Swan Valley Estate on Saturday 17 April, Dainty Consolidated Entertainment (DCE), Zaccaria Events Present (ZEP), Ticketek and Sandalford Wines are delighted to announce the commencement of a new venue partnership for both the Swan Valley and Margaret River Estates owned and operated by Sandalford Wines. The recently inked deal will see DCE stage at least 6 concerts in the Swan Valley and at least 3 concerts at Sandalford’s new purpose built outdoor concert amphitheatre at its Margaret River Estate during each annual season spanning the sunnier months from September to April from 2010/2011 to 2015/2016. The partnership also commences the collaboration between DCE and Perth-based promoter ZEP, who together with Sandalford, will manage and market the concerts. Ticketek, Australia and New Zealand’s leading ticketing company completes the new team. Ticketek will provide exclusive ticket distribution and associated marketing services to the venues for the next 3 years. Sandalford will continue to invite other promoters to stage a further 2 "masthead events" at each of the Swan Valley and Margaret River wineries each season. DCE’s Chairman and CEO Paul Dainty says he is thrilled about the new partnership: "Sandalford’s Swan Valley winery is a simply stunning setting with strong management and excellent facilities so it is a brilliant option for a number of our top line touring artists. The Margaret River winery venue looks potentially even better, so we are particularly pleased that we have been able to reach a long term agreement to continue to enhance Sandalford’s reputation for first class entertainment." Chief Executive of Sandalford Wines Grant Brinklow agrees: "In the year which Sandalford celebrates its 170th anniversary (est 1840) we chose to partner with DCE to deliver artists to our operations because we felt their brand attributes and ours are in strong alignment. We both strive for excellence and have a very professional and world class approach to everything we do. Looking at the sheer quality of artists Paul Dainty has brought to Australia over a number of decades, it is absolutely certain, future patrons to Sandalford’s annual concert program are set to enjoy and experience the talent of many, many extremely high calibre artists sourced from all over the world – and enjoy those with a drop or two of our fabulous wine from the world famous Margaret River region." Brinklow adds: "Whilst Sandalford’s iconic annual concert program in the Swan Valley has been long established, our vision was also to develop part of the vineyard (1,000 acres) in the world famous Margaret River wine region into the premier winery concert venue in Australia. We are delighted to announce the partnership with DCE in the year when we also celebrate the important milestone of 40 years since our vineyard in Margaret River was planted (1970). For all lovers of great music and fantastic Margaret River wines, I am sure these concerts will quickly establish themselves as 'must attend' events for people from right across the south west of Western Australia and beyond. We are very excited about offering all patrons a truly memorable and unique music experience whilst introducing them to Sandalford Wines - Margaret Rivers Finest!!!" ZEP’s Managing Director John Zaccaria believes this exciting new collaboration will substantially lift the bar: "Just a couple of weeks ago, we produced our first show at Sandalford with Spandau Ballet and Tears for Fears and the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive both in terms of how great that show was and also how we have set a new quality standard for events at Sandalford. So we’re looking forward to a long and successful partnership at the undoubtedly the best outdoor venues in Australia." Ticketek Chief Executive, Rob Blackwell, said of the new alliance: "Ticketek was delighted at joining DCE and ZEP to make the recent Spandau Ballet & Tears for Fears show at Sandalford such a great success. Ticketek views this as a long term partnership and see this as one of many future entertainment investments in the Perth market." The 2010/2011 concert season at the Sandalford wineries promises to be the very best yet as a result of this powerful partnership, with Michael Buble’s March 2011 concerts the first of a set of announcements to be made over the coming weeks.
