Symphony at Sandalford with Kate Cebrano
January 2002
Held amongst the vines at Sandalford Estate. the inaugural BankWest Symphony at Sandalford concert featured Kate Cebrano and the full 90 piece West Australian Symphony Orchestra. The performance launched the West Australian Symphony Orchestra summer concert series, attracted a sell out audience of over 6000, showcased the newly re-developed Sandalford Estate and gave enormous exposure to the Swan Valley. Gates opened at 4.45pm, with patrons enjoying a picnic on the estate prior to the concert and then soaking in the atmosphere. It was a magical summer evening under the stars offering patrons sweeping views across the vines down to the Swan River. The support act, Lee Sapho, warmed the crowd with some soulful tunes. Then Kate wowed the audience with songs such as Wind Beneath my Wings; I still call Australia Home and not to mention her own classic hits.
