For Jimmy it is a welcome return to the stage after his recent well-publicised heart surgery and will be his first concert in WA in nearly 18 months! Vanessa Amorosi, who is set to reignite the charts with a brilliant new rock album out soon, crowd favourite Richard Clapton, the wonderful Colin Hay and Jimmy's daughter Mahalia Barnes will provide stellar support in what is set to be a sensational day of great Aussie music. Anyone who has experienced a Jimmy Barnes concert leaves with no doubt why this mercurial performer has become one of our most popular and best loved. Its 'pedal to the metal' from go to whoa as Barnesy belts out hit after hit from his 30-year career, including songs that have become indelibly stamped in the Australian psyche. His set usually includes solo smash hits like 'Working Class Man', 'Too Much (Ain't Enough Love)', 'I'd Die To Be With You Tonight', 'Good Times', 'Ride The Night Away', plus soul classics from the multi-platinum 'Soul Deep' album such as 'Ain't No Mountain (High Enough)' and of course the unforgettable Cold Chisel tracks that started it all. It's a welcome return for Vanessa Amorosi, who has just released her first single in five years 'Kiss Your Mama' and has a new album recorded in the U.S set for release later this year. Through the years since his Men At Work success, Colin has evolved into a masterful performer, with his immediately identifiable voice and sense of humour combining with his amazing songs for very special concert performances. He will be playing all his hits and songs from 'Are You Lookin' at Me?' his first studio album of new material in over five years. Richard Clapton has endeared himself to music-lovers everywhere through his heartfelt inspired performances. With hits like 'Girls On The Avenue', 'Deep Water', 'Capricorn Dancer', Richard has stamped his place as one of our best singer/songwriters, and is an 'a day on the green' crowd favourite. Rounding off the first-class roster of artists will be a young lady of rich musical pedigree, Mahalia Barnes. Singing since childhood, Mahalia is becoming a strong voice in her own right and is currently recording her debut album while being a regular on the concert circuit performing soul, blues and jazz. GENERAL INFORMATION: Sunday November 11 – Sandalford Wines, Swan Valley 'a day on the green' is a fully licensed event. Strictly no BYO alcohol and NO GLASS. Food will be available on site or BYO picnic. Low deck chairs and picnic rugs are recommended. High deck chairs will be positioned at the rear of the venue so that they don't obstruct sightlines for other patrons. No tables or umbrellas, professional cameras, video or recording equipment, metal cutlery, wine spikes, tents or sunshelters will be permitted. All bags are subject to a safety and security search upon entry. Any prohibited items will be confiscated. Once again the Kids Entertainment Zone will be running with children's entertainers, face painting, story telling and other activities available for the kids during the afternoon TICKET INFORMATION:
This is a licensed event. Children under 18 years of age who have purchased a ticket will only be permitted into the concert site if they are in the company of their parent/step-parent or legal guardian. If a minor is not accompanied by their parent/step-parent or legal guardian they will be refused entry to the concert and they will not receive a refund on their ticket. Children under 12 years of age accompanied by their parent/step-parent or legal guardian will be admitted free of charge in the GA area and will be treated to an entertainment zone of their own.
