A Day on the Green
January 2006
Sandalford was drenched in the 'Sound of White' when it played host to award winning singer/songwriter Missy Higgins and an awesome line-up of support artists featuring LIOR, Serena Rider and Mark Sholtez.
The 9000 strong audience, the largest crowd ever assembled at Sandalford, with picnic rug and esky in hand, flocked to witness the Melbournian work her magic.
While quite obviously in ore of the sea of faces that greeted her, Higgins carved through her set with professional ease - and while joking with the crowds hasn't always been her forte, Higgins was quite the chatterbox. Eager to thank her family and friends who had made the journey from Melbourne.
The manner in which Higgins tackled her performance with such effortless vocal beauty left no doubt among the swaying masses that there is much of Higgins to still discover.
