A Day on the Green

"A Day on the Green" is designed for music lovers who appreciate the experience of combining quality music with fine food and wine in picturesque outdoor settings. It has been affectionately dubbed "the Big Day Out for grown-ups"! "a day on the green" concerts are traditionally staged in classic winemaking regions in Victoria, NSW and SA. For the first time in 2002, this successful concert series was extended to WA, staged at Sandalford Caversham Estate.

The all star line-up for WA's first concert included The Whitlams, Tim Finn, Renee Geyer and Richard Clapton.

Guests soaked up the atmosphere of the picturesque surrounds of the vineyard while listening to famous songs such as No Aphrodisiac by The Whitlams, Fraction too Much Friction and I See Red by Tim Finn, It's a Man's World and Say I Love You by Renee Gayer, Girls on the Avenue and Capricorn Dancer by Richard Clapton

As a family run event "a day on the green" also offered a Kids Entertainment Zone. Children's entertainers, face painting, story telling and other activities were available for the kids during the afternoon.

After its outstanding success last year, the national concert event series, "A Day on the Green", returns to Perth's Sandalford Caversham Estate on Sunday November 16.
